Multiple Kentucky lawmakers want cash loan retailers to address a lot heavier penalties when they violate consumer-protection rules.
Senate Bill 169 and house Bill 321 would raise the collection of fines prepared for the Kentucky section of banking institutions through the current $1,000 to $5,000 for virtually any payday financing breach to between $5,000 and $25,000.
